Aretha Franklin diz que seu problema de saúde está resolvido

NOVA YORK - Sem confirmar informações na imprensa de que está lutando contra o câncer ou mesmo dizer por que esteve doente, a ícone do soul Aretha Franklin declarou em entrevista a uma revista, divulgada nesta quinta-feira, que agora está se "sentindo ótima" depois de uma recente cirurgia.
A cantora de 68 anos disse à revista Jet que não quer falar sobre artigos na mídia que afirmaram que ela sofria de câncer pancreático
"Não tenho de falar sobre a minha saúde com ninguém, a não ser os médicos. O problema foi resolvido", afirmou.



Figura monumental na música popular norte-americana, Aretha teve alta em um hospital de Detroit em dezembro, depois de uma cirurgia que ela qualificou de "um sucesso".

Soube-se em outubro pela primeira vez que ela estava doente, quando cancelou todas as apresentações públicas, mas ela não confirmou então que estava com problemas de saúde.



A cantora disse à revista que primeiro sentiu uma "dor muito forte do lado" durante um show no ano passado em Toronto, Canadá. Exames preliminares não mostraram nada, mas ela se lembra de ter dito para si mesma. "Sei que há um problema, mas estes testes não mostram nada."

Ela disse não ser de" ficar falando muito sobre suas questões pessoais ou negócios", mas quer que os fãs saibam que agora "está se sentindo ótima, e seguindo".
Aretha dominou a cena do soul nos anos 1960 e 1970, com músicas como "Think", "Respect" e "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman".
